Abu Dhabi, UAE - PON - Linking Digifort VMS to Foxtrot PLC...

Supervise working of surveillance system and Digifort VMS via Foxtrot control system and warning in case of  failures.
Implemented by: PON Systems  – Perfect Option Network Systems L.L.C. Abu Dhabi - UAE.


System structure...
Installed surveillance system in this project consists of 3 management servers with Digifort VMS and 135 cameras with next structure:

- Server (1): online server for monitoring and recording of 66 cameras.
- Server (2): online server for monitoring and recording of 69 cameras.
- Server (3): is configured as a failover server (redundant) for first and second servers, it will be online in case of failure of any other servers.

Thanks to Digifort world–class IP surveillance software, which is rich in features and integrated 3rd party devices

 

Control structures...

This system is based on Foxtrot CP-1000 PLC and CIB output module C-OR-0008M, PLC  is connected to same network of surveillance server.
Because of available API from Digifort side, Foxtrot PLC accesses and checks several points in surveillance system, thanks to HTTP protocol which used for inquiring about required parameters from Digifort surveillance system, PLC is detecting next points:

1. Working status of each server (1, 2, 3)
2. Failure in any camera
3. General failover  status, when all servers are down

 

Failover statuses in (1,2) servers and server (3) is working correctly	All servers are down, and there is no possibility to check cameras status
